If you haven't heard of this game, you really, really need to be paying attention. Seems the DS is going to be graced with quite a few excellent titles as it prepares to leave center stage on the handheld front. Among those games is Monster Tale. To give you a frame of reference, this game is being developed by the same folks who brought us Henry Hatsworth. Unlike Hatsworth, however, Monster Tale is more along the lines of a Metroidvania than a linear side-scroller. But the developers have, once again, managed to incorporate some clever dual-screen action. Developer: Dreamrift Publisher: Majesco Release date (U.S.): March 1, 2011 -- Game delayed until March 22, 2011 Rather than try to articulate in words just how this game works, I'll merely present you with GiantBomb's quick look. Do yourself a favor and check it out: Monster Tale quick look That lil' gal up thar is named Ellie, whom you'll be controlling throughout the game. There's a little bit of monster collecting/evolving as well, and that's where the working of the two screens in tandem with controlling Ellie with the buttons comes into play. Again, watch Giant Bomb's quick look. I believe we can expect the game to release on the first of next month, so just a couple more weeks. Enjoy!
