For those that have been wanting a Monster Hunter title to be released for the Switch, Capcom is granting your wishes, as they've just announced Monster Hunter XX, for the Nintendo Switch. According to the announcement, this is going to be an enhanced version of what the west knows as Monster Hunter Generations, which released last year initially for the Nintendo 3DS. There's no word of a localization, but Capcom is planning to reveal more details during Monster Hunter Championship 2017, which will take place on May 27th.

Well, it isn't like monster hunter 3 ultimate helped the wii u that much, so don't be that happy when you can already pirate this thing on the 3ds...

I bought the wii u version of that game. For me, it was a lot easier to concentrate when it's on a large screen.

I'll probably pick up the switch version for a similar reason tbh. The only difference is that I may transfer the save to my 3ds (if possible) and give myself a ton of materials.

Good for you then, and for the people willing to pay full retail price for an upscaled 3ds game.

Well imo Switch needs his own versión of MH, not just a port. I wish they're preparing something more. Something bigger than this.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
