Monkey Island is Back! (PC/XBLA/WiiWare)

That's right baby! Monkey Island is back!

Coming this Summer for PC and 360 The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition to XBLA and PC, with new remastered graphics, voices and music. And option to switch between the old and new graphics is available.

Also, on July 7, developed by Telltale Games, comes Launch of the Screaming Narwhal, the first chapter of The Tales of Monkey Island for WiiWare and PC.

The art style of the remake is crappy, doesn't suit the series at all and the characters look stupid too. I still have the old ones so I'll ignore it.

The WiiWare ones, I welcome a new MI game, even though the last one was the worst in the series it was still very good. Not sure about the look, I guess I am one of those who'd prefer a 2D look.

Telltale did do the excellent Strong Bad Episodes and some good (as well as meh) Sam & Max episodes so I am positive, can't say I liked their Wallace & Gromit game though.

I can't view the images because I'm at school but I will probably buy this regardless of the graphics. I never played the game and I've heard nothing but good things about it.

The remake looks... bland. Typical "Anniversary Edition" game. Good still, but bland nevertheless. The other game looks much better. At least, it's something original, so I can judge it by its own merits.

Oh, so lucasart keeping the license 20 long years finally have a meaning (they always refused to put their games in abandonware form).

The character doesn't look like the real old ones

I don't like the new character design (in both project), it doesn't have the same feeling.
But the background looks lovely in full color and details ^^

I guess we will have to try it to see if it's good.
