Hacking Modmii won't open

Hi guys so I download modmii get it on my sd card then when I click on the letterbomb it takes me back to the wii channel screen, please help I have been trying for days but just can't hack the wii

First of all - You opened the topic twice, one is enough.

also, You're not talking about Modmii - You're talking about letterbomb.

so We need more details- Is your Wii modded before? or did you buy used one? What's the version of the Wii System Menu?

I am talking about modmii cause its a letter you have to open and I bought it new from the store is there a step I'm missing

Did u copy the entire contents of Modmii's copy to SD folder to your sd card? Make sure you have sd:/boot.elf (I. E. The hackmii installer) otherwise it definitely won't boot.

If u have legit problem with this (which I doubt, sounds more like user error) then use Modmii's hackmii solutions guide/wizard

i have followed your page and it still wont work, it also had boot.elf in the folder

What kind of sd card are you using? Quite strange, can you walk us through in detail what is happening? Letterbomb/wilbrand for example, u sure u have the right Mac address? U see the letterbomb msg? You start it and it returns to the channel instead of launching boot.elf? I mean yiu could try a disc based exploit like smash stack but these exploits should be working too. Or try str2hax or bluebomb... actually str2hax would be perfect to try because if it is the SD card this should work anyway because it's an SD card-less exploit

If u have a nand backup that has the HBC already it can definitely be restored by @DeadlyFoez or anyone else hardware capable with an infectus modchip

Hi and my apologies for continuing this topic however i have exactly the same issue. Tried to softmod my Wii (v4.3E) using Modmii 6.63. During the mod files downloading/preparation in Windows 10 LTSC several .NET exceptions have been thrown but eventually according to Modmii the mod package was ready to be copied to SD card. Modmii uses not exactly the Letterbomb but Wildbrand exploit instead and after running it from Wii message board i was just returned back to Wii home screen. Tried it with 2 different SDHC cards (32Gb each). Must also mention that Letterbomb exploit runs just fine but i wanted to try all-in-one solution like Modmii and that didn't work

sounds like sd:\boot.elf was missing when you ran it the first time; did modmii say everything was downloaded and verified?

Also note that when using ModMii you have the option to skip entering your mac address, in which case your custom guide will not use Wilbrand, but will provide other options, including letterbomb.

Unfortunately the result is still the same. Running Wildbrand exploit initially shows black screen as the mod process is starting and then returns back to Wii menu. The mod package prepared using Modmii contains all the required files. However i'm about to blame not the Modmii itself but my PC case built-in card reader instead

It could be wilbrand doesn't work in 100% of cases, not sure. But it's a good thing there are plenty of exploits to choose from.

Anyway as previously mentioned u can still use modmii, just select a different exploit or don't enter a Mac address if u want to use letterbomb instead
