Homebrew Modify CIA flags?

Would it be possible to modify the flags of a SMDH of a cia to have it appear on the Home Menu?

Ex. Modify microSD Management's SMDH to have it appear on the Home Menu.

Definitely possible, @Apache Thunder has done this before. It can even be installed on an old3DS.

I tried recently to install on of the ones he made on my new3DS, but it just threw up an error when attempting to install it.

I think perhaps I was supposed to uninstall the original first, but I was unsure and didn't want to fuck around with files installed to NAND.

Alternatively, you can make a custom badge to launch any system app.

funny enough someone else was asking about this a couple of days ago, here is a quick summary of what we did to make the homescreen version of the micro sd management app

the process would probably be similar for other system apps, although micro sd management was the only one I could see being useful of the homescreen


that said this method of making badge shortcuts would probably be easier by the sounds of it
