it works for me for a few games but one game i cannot get it to work for is Guitar hero 5
(using neogamma) just wondering if anyone knew why?

Any possible problems with doing that? Where do I get it, and do I just use the wad Manager?
Also, I don't really know very well what I'm doing, why would installing this cIOS fix my problem? Thanks.
 
Already googled a WAD.
No more heroes 2: Disc channel gives Error 001. Neogamma gives DVD read error 1136, softchip gives me an Exception in red, I can't make up what it says. Then it resets.
Testing old Sonic and the secret rings backup: DC works, Neogamma works, softchip giving me exception still. Softchip worked fine before I instaled this new cIOS.

EDIT: Tried Softchip R102, Sonic works now, NMH2 gives me another exception. Says :
"[-] No Boot Partition Found.
Exception: Wrong Offset"

I just updated my wii to 4.2u from softmodded 4.1u. I try to install HBC (since now it is gone) using banner bomb but it says no vulnerable ios and just gives the exit option.......what to do someone please help!!

I'm taking it that it was softmodded before the update?

Get a clean IOS34 wad (using NUS Downloader, enable pack->wad). You can install it with wad manager (make it use IOS250)
 
Hi - Just have a question regarding installing Bootmii as an IOS (cannot install into boot2)

My Wii is fully working OK and I have preloader installed but I have never installed bootmii and I thought it might be good to create a backup just in case for that rainy day.

Couple of questions.

Bootmii as an IOS installs into slot254?
Do I need to prep the SD card first or do I just install via hackmii?
Do I need any IOS on the root of the SD card or does the hackmii installer have all the code it needs for the install?

Once its done I just press the home button in the HBC to access the bootmii menu, I don't need any app on the SD card for this?

Thanks, just want to make sure, read a few doc's but I always like to confirm things before hand.

Never mind, bootmii as an IOS during install loads files to the SD card and then installs as an IOS
Bootmii done, backup made...

ok how do i install with wad manager with no homebrew....in detail please.

Yeah when I do this and start up the banner bomb the screen goes black and the cd slit turns on blue??


After trying a few times it came up....so I installed a clean ios34 trying to install hbc again.....fingers crossed.

Im gonna do a complete softmod for my friends Wii, with trucha enabled for 4.2E, & Priiloader, USB Loader GX + cIOSCORP, mIOSCORP,DVDX.

I have a question: After which step in the tutorial shall I install cIOSCORP, mIOSCORP,DVDX?
Or does the game compability gets bad in any way?

Anyway, you install DVDx at the beginning (with the hackmii installer) and cIOSCORP at the end, after you installed a cIOS.
There is no such thing as MIOSCORP, since there is just one MIOS. The MIOS installer is included with cIOSCORP.

Yep, the guy I quote´d had game compability issues after he intalled cIOSCORP latest version.

Bootmii is not avalable for boot2!
Shall I install preloader before, or after all steps in the tutorial.

I get that it could protect me during the hacking, but I dont know if it will work any well when Im gonna do all the trucha patching & the cIOSCORP install.
 
Ok now Ive made all steps, but I have not installed priiloader & cIOSCORP.

I try to use 3 different loaders and I cant load 1 single DVDr game.

I did excactly every step as the guide said??


Neogamma tells me at start up:

Your cIOS has revison 17
To achieve best compability
use revision 13a(!) or 14

Press any button to continue

What do I do now??
 
if you cannot load backups from a dvd then you have a d3-2 drive. usb loading is your only option, which is a good thing IMO.

do not install cIOSCORP if you have a d3-2 drive.

if you do not have bootmii as boot2 then install priiloader as soon as possible.
