How the hell do I get ANY of the USB Loaders to work?!
I installed everything according to the guide, yet I cannot run any loader at all.

Make sure you have your external hard drive formatted correctly. I had a problem at first too but it was due to not having the HD setup correctly. I re-partitioned my drive with a FAT32 and a WBFS partition.

Also Make sure you plug the HD into the right USB slot on the Wii.

Both USB Loader GX and WiiFlow will give you an error if not plugged in correctly.

Checkout the Complete SoftMod Guide link at the start of this guide. Has a section on preparing HDs for WBFS.

I ended up using Wii FLow.. It looks great with all the cover art and was able to load a backup I had and create a new backup no problem!

Hope that helps!

Cheers!

hey I just finished the guide but nowhere in there did it make a mention of cios rev whatever

They're included. It's those ios200+

Hey guys,

I'm currently using firmware 3.3U on my American Wii, it has Wiikey installed, and has been softmodded before using the Twilight hack.

When I try the following instructions:

Installing The Homebrew Channel & Bootmii
Run bannerbomb by going to the Settings, Data Management, Channels, SD Card & choosing yes to load boot.dol/elf
This runs the Hackmii Installer from which you should install the Homebrew Channel, DVDX [optional], & Bootmii as IOS & boot2 if possible.

it hangs at the SD card screen, and eventually I went and downloaded aad20_v108.zip instead, and it worked.

However, when I finished loading hackmii, I got the following message:

QUOTEHackmii installer v0.6

This installer can NOT continue!

There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii. Please note that we will not use a fakesigned IOS due to security reasons.

etcetc.

What should I do? :/ If it helps, I already have a few other custom channels installed, like the Homebrew Channel, WAD Manager, Backup Loader.. etc. They're all old versions, I think, as I didn't update them at all as most of the games I've played worked well all these while, so I didn't bother to change.

Would really appreciate the help!

great guide. the only part that was somewhat unclear to me was:
QUOTE said:
Choose remove stub IOS's and press A to continue.
Press home to exit.
during the restore truscha bug part. I am assuming you meant just choosing that Remove Stub IOS option and then exit right away, and not to actually go through with removing stub IOS's. yes?

DOP-IOS v11

When trying to complete the first step of the quide for the modify it tries to install the second iso and has an:

Exception (DSI) Occured!

whether I install the ios from sd card or download from NUS I run into the error.

the wii is running firmware 4.2u... I don't know what to do from here...

Thank you for your time!

alright thanks, do you know what rev the cios are and if hermes stuff is in there as well?

Seriously...what's the gain between DOP-IOS MOD v11 and GP DOP-IOS MOD.
Any reason to choose the first one over the second? Or thread owner personal choise?

I have question. I modded my wii many months ago all was fine until my PC crashed&burned & I had to reinstall everything from the ground up. Now since I have done this every wii I mod for my mates(they are all old 3.x updated to 4.2 through the wii,so none of them have the new drives)I get error 1048 or 1051 & they wont play the new back-ups I burn, but they play all the ones I burnt before my system died. Now I`m guessing you`re gonna say I`m burning it wrong or something like that, or load through usb(which is fine for me cos I am now. but not for them!)

But if that is the case what would you suggest is the problem, I haven't changed any settings in imgburn as far as I`m aware or the type of media I use.

I`ve tried neogamma 6,7 & 8beta17 stiil no joy!!

Any help sorting or at least explaining why this is happening would be appreciated
Did you re-hack it after the update?

QUOTE(ASTRAL2k1 @ Jan 23 2010, 08:48 PM) There seems to be conflicting info everywhere regarding stub removal, some say remove them while others say not to ??
If they;re not currently being used by nintendo then they have no purpose right? And if nintendo ever decide to reuse them can't we simply reinstall them?

OK my bad people. All it was,was the burning program. I was using imgburn had somehow changed something in my settings & not sure what had changed but used burnaware instead & all is well!
Only remove the stubs for IOS 222,223,249 and 250
The rest can stay

Yeah re-hacked follwing this guide & hacked 2 other wii`s using same guide. As I said the old back-ups I have work fine but the new ones dont?

A couple people I've used this pack on, when DOP-IOS wouldn't work, v11 would work. So far not one Wii I've used v11 on has failed. But that is on like 4 Wiis. We'll see if it stays as such.

And while adding DOP-IOS MOD v11.1 we could also add WAD-Manager MultiMod v3b.

Good thing I've not run it yet

I got ECC Failure (Corrected) page bla (brand new black Wii) while backing up the nand.

(no bad blocks)

I checked google and someone said nothing to worry about - for debugging purposes?

Is this true?
