Tutorial Modify ANY Wii 4.3 & below

I installed Softmii 2.1.1 on wii which is on 3.2U has Hbc,Starfall,cIOSCORP, Riiski. I am trying to update to 4.1 using your guide, but when I tried to load the hackmii here is the error message I got.
"HackMii installer v0.6
This installer can NOT continue!
There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii.
Please note that we will not use a fakesigned IOS due to security reasons.
Look for updated version at:
[bootmii.org]
If this is already the latest version...well,suck it."

What can I do to get hackmii to install?

I don't think the cIOS downgrader will work. You want the IOS Downgrader only I believe.

Hi,

I am in the process of downgrading from 4.2J to 4.1J on my Wii JAP with D2CKey installed.

1. I got the downgrade.zip for Wii JAP 4.2J to 4.1J and extracted to the SD card's apps folder
2. I ran WAD Manager 1.5 from HBC, IOS249 was already selected - so I pressed "A" to proceed. Then it just stopped on that screen. It seemed that my remote lost connection as well and was not able to connect after all.

Can you please advise and help me out? Thanks so much....

Probably answered on one of the previous million pages, but if I did the "ole" TP Softmod to 3.2U, including Starfall, etc (from the old guides), I can still follow the guide in post #1 and everything will be ok?

Run starfall and uninstall all hacks
then you can start with the guide from the beginning

Could you add what exactly you've updated and if it's necessary to update for existing softmods? I have a tendency to update everything I can update, but it might not be necessary here

He's probably just going to replace some steps with the dop-ios mod ones

You can install every app as channel
you'll just have to find the channel in wad form (or create one yourself)
then you can install it with wad manager.

It's not available from NUSD yet and is only on the Your Shape with Jenny McCarthy Game.


I assume its to make use of the usb webcam that come with the game.

Hey xzxero, great job on the updates! I've been using your guide for a long time, I practically memorized all the steps and everything, I just come back every once in a while to check what's been updated, wich brings me to the next question...

What are the benefits of installing the new cIOS38rev16?

I normally use Usb loading, and I can do it fine with rev14, but later today I'm gonna mod my cousin's Wii, he's gonna play with discs backups, so should I mod his with rev14 for Discs, and update mine with rev16? (mine has the new D3-2 chipset)

Yeah its fine, try re-sending the e-mail, it takes around five minutes for the auto reply to send you the links. You can also check your spam folder!

cIOS250-v14.wad dows not exist in the modify.zip it seems to have cIOS250-v65535.wad instead, unless they are the same file.
