@xzxero

any way to bypass this part?

13] Run Preloader .29
Press 1 twice and it should install. [Don't worry, it takes it's time.]
Enable desired hacks in the Systemmenu Hacks section. [note: if it says if can't find the hacks.ini file, you are using a sdhc card and need to use a non-sdhc for this part.]
Go to the settings and make sure the IOS is set to 70.
Save settings.

I got a diskonkey and only an sdhc2 8gb sandisk card

you can install it, but that about it.

found some old sd card-what are the best options to enable?
btw, after going to system menu it remained a black screen

black screen the first time-since it would not respond to power or reset buttons I had to unplug the wii-after that if I choose "system menu" it displays a series of green lines and dies (component no signal msg from the tv) while the wii keeps on-I guess that's bricked?

it does give the option of uninstalling it as boot2...does that still mean it didn't install...sorry for the ?'s i just don't want to continue if i can't make a backup

Thanx onad

does this mean i install as an ios....and can i use this backup if anything goes wrong

Preloader 0.30 supports SDHC cards, the source can be downloaded here (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader). I don't know how to compile it though, if anyone figures it out can they please post a finished .dol for the rest of us noobs? Thanks.

Thank you very much xzxero. This is easily the best guide I have come across and everything works!!! Your efforts are much appreciated!

can somebody help me about my mplayerce its not loading i have lu65 and 4.1u wii updated via this guide everything is running fine except in mplayerce 0.75.. TIA

If i just want to installed the IOS for USB loader can i just start the guid at step 6, as im on 4.1E already, or is it completely fine to start the guide form the first step even though im on 4.1E already??
Also any chance of a guide to get your Wii Virginised? Would like to do that and the use this guide to get back up to FW 4.1

I know this app doesn't work via a USB, it does work with an SD card, I'm not sure about SDHC. If you're using SDHC try a simple SD card instead. Not 100% on this, just a thought

did you install the usb2 for mplayerce

yes i install cios usb2.0 for mplayer ce and my usb loader gx works fine but mplayerce keeps freezing i really dont know whats wrong

Last sunday I followed the "4.2 Method". back then there were only 14 steps, using DOP-IOS to install IOS70 with sig hash check in step 11. It worked flawlessly.

Today I realize that I don't have Preloader

and that the "4.2 Method" includes 2 new steps: "step 12 - IOS70-64-v6687 [Patched][FreeTheBug].wad using wad manager" , and "step 13- run Preloader"

Which is the safest way to to change my DOPed IOS70 for the IOS70[Patched][FreeTheBug].wad ? or can I just run preloader with the DOPed IOS70? Thank you ever so much.

Total noob here, so please speak slowly if you reply to me

I used 4.2 IOS method up to:
10] Press left until you see do not reload IOS and choose WAD install.

This mostly worked but mentioned some error at the end. I restarted and now when I choose dop-IOS v8 from HBC, the screen turns black and nothing else happens.

Advice please?

EDIT: SORRY! I see now, install AND then uninstall... thanks
