Why are my downloads from NUS bigger than the screenshot shown? For 25 and 26, I have 1.83mb in those directories each.
make sure your structuring your files and folders right.
take your time.
0000000100000024v1042 Total Size: 1767204 bytes
0000000100000026v3610 Total Size: 1932728 bytes

Those are a lot bigger than the file sizes you reported. This is directly from NUS. I followed the instructions to a tee, so either you're missing a step, or you have the wrong file sizes.
ok now i see what your saying.

apparntly you only need these files from 0000000100000024v1042 folder

andd these from the 0000000100000026v3610 folder

I have a question: Is a GC controller really neccessary or just to make things easier?

Can we use a 3rd party GC controller such as: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.24544

Thank you for the guide.

Only if you want to play Gamecube backups.

Most 3rd party controllers do not work, I've tried a few in the past and gave up, bought a decent second hand controller on ebay for a few quid.

I upgraded to 4.1u, but when I load boot.dol, it still freezes on the "Press 1 to continue" screen. Any ideas?
Boot dol of what?
Preloader? (if so keep pressing 1)

Wii Options =>Data Management => Channels => SD card tab, then it asks me if I want to load /boot.dol, I click yes then there's a screen that tells me this software must not be sold, etc... and eventually says Press 1 to continue. Pressing 1 does nothing for me and I have to hard reset.

The HackMii installer requires a GameCube controller. Pressing 1 actually means press A. It's a bit confusing, and that's why the Wii remote doesn't work.

no it does not require a gamecube controller.
try updating your firmware via the settings then try bannberbomb again.
if your already on 4.1, then configure your internet connection to update.

Used this guide to update my wii, and it worked great.

Trying to update a friends but the installer says - No vulnerable ios installed on wii can not continue.
Looked on botmii faq and it suggests cioscorp is likely problem.

The wii has cioscorp installed, softmii and gamma channel. its on 3.2e

Do i need to remove cioscorp, if so what is best way and safest way to do so.

Or can i just do a nintendo update then follow the guide, its been a while since i bothered with wii.

Thanks in advance.

xzxero,

Follow your guide. Seem like everything success. USB loader no problem with harddrive. It works normal.

The only problem i have now, Install new Wad for Contra and internet channel using Wad manger 1.4 through HBC.
After installation, I can see them on the channel. Problem is If I click either Contra or Internet channel it will go back to front channel again.
What Am I am missing? Can I use any title deleter to delete some ios and reinstall it again, Which IOS need to delete (60, 249 or .. from system menu)? or just reinstall ios249 again.
Please guide me. Thanks

Did you patch IOS 53 and 55?
if not do it, if you did delete them with ATD and get wads from a different source.

Alright, This is the problem. Now is totally working. i don't know how I missed this patch 53 and 55. I don't even see them when I followed your tutorial.

Now the only not working for me is wii shop channel. I have tried to reinstall ios 60, 61 and wii shop channel using wiiscu but no help. It gives me black screen and return back to main menu. Please guide me one more time for this problem.

Thank you very much for your help.
