Tutorial Modify ANY Wii 4.3 & below

Hi yall, Could someone possibly point me to the right direction here lol

I successfully modded my wii with this guide. it was originally on 3.2U and now on 4.2U The problem I am having is that Wii Sports Resort and Cooking Mamma are freezing with configurable USB loader for some reason. I have successfully already ripped and played a game on this Program, but these two games are giving me problems. And when I try to play them regularly through the System Menu, it get a message saying to update. I am not even connected to internet or wifi. So should I update through the disc because it keeps on telling me that. I just want to be able to play the game through the system menu as well as through configurable USB loader. Thanks guys

Ps. is there like an incompatability list for wii games that doesnt work with Configurable USB loader?

install pre/priiloader or startpatch to block disk updates

I have a 4.1U and now a 4.2U
I have a game on DVD that loads fine on my 4.1U using NeoGamma 7
and neogamma 8 B12

I have just finished the Mod of my 4.2U and installed and tested WiiWare that works fine.
But when I use one of my DVDs with either NG7 or NG8B12 it starts to load and the says unauthorized device detected

Yes thats DEVICE, not disk...

((( I chose v15 of cIOS249 and cIOS250 if that matters? )))
USB loader GX and do it from a USB WBFS drive it works fine...

What do I do or use to load disks on the 4.2?

also, its a LU6, can or should I just Downgrade it to 4.1 by installing
IOS60-64-v6174 [TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad
System Menu-NUS-v449.wad
like the guid says?

I used ATD, loaded IOS36, and deleted 249v15 and 250v15...
I then used WM 1.5 and installed them as v14

Ya, when I saw "Install Either v14 or v15" I was wondering what gets lost with 15 that would make 14 still an option...
Thats why I mentioned it.

That should be added to the guide.
v14 if you wnat to use NeoG
v15 if you what ever what ever...

Do you have Priiloader 0.2b r30? If so there's a bug that causeing Priiloader to boot even though Autoboot to System Menu is set.

Yes i have the latest version (even though the files for this guide had 0.1 rev15 i downloaded the updated one). Ok guys thanks for all the help! I'm going to uninstall priiloader and use starpatch. They have the same hacks.Although priiloader is good for brick protection, i have bootmii in boot2 and i don't think my cousin can do anything to brick his wii

(wes i will patch to disable updates). One last question. In the hack "Remove Diag Disc Check" what is diagnosis disc check and why is disabling it good? Thanks again for all the help guys!

If you want there's a compiled Priiloader r32 that fixes the autoboot bug. I just installed it and it's working fine now.

Just rename installer.dol to boot.dol and run it with HBC.

Thanks for quick reply, and the folder that came with this mod, it already had a folder named priiloader, do i delete everything from that and put the installer.dol (renamed to boot.dol) in that folder? THANKS a lot

Yeah that'll work fine. All that matters is having installer.dol renamed to boot.dol and in a folder within the apps folder.

Yeah that'll work fine. All that matters is having installer.dol renamed to boot.dol and in a folder within the apps folder.

There was a bug in v30 that had Priiloader booting no matter what you set autoboot to. v32 fixed that.

I now have ios249 rev14 but I get a black screen when I load an ios fom usb loager gx 1.0

So now do I use the wadmanager 1.5 to uninstalled CIOS 249/250 rev 15 and install rev 14? Do I need to start from a certain step from the guide?

use cios rev14 and a usb loader instead of neogamma

just get rev14 installer and run from the HBC or install the rev14 wads if you have them, look in the backup loaders section for a usbloader there's lots to choose from

Excellent guide but I can't get the Wii to run the bannerbomb hack after the firmware update. I followed the upgrade word for word first installing the IOS70-64-v6687.wad then the System Menu-NUS-v482.wad (PAL in my case) then I installed all the others, I presume that is what you meant. I don't have to reinstall the IOS70 and System Menu again after the remaining WADs, do I?

After this the wii starts fine and the settings menu tells me that it is now 4.2e, but when i copy the modify.zip contents to the SD and try to launch it via the bannerbomb the wii locks up. As soon as i hit the SD tab (after pressing the channels button) it freezes (ie I don't get the message asking if i want to load the DOL/ELF), any ideas?

I've tried downloading the files again and also a different SD card nothing works. Seems to me that the bannerbomb isn't working because even if the DOL/ELF was corrupt I'd still at least get the message asking if I wanted to load the DOL/ELF, I think.

any suggestions would be great Thanks in advance.

it is next to the options button on the main menu

it should be blue and look like and sd card.
