Is there a version of this file that forces Pal50? I have a number of US games that need to be forced in to Pal50 to display correctly on my Pal Wii.

+1 for a request for a Force PAL60 version (with ocarina enabled by default if possible - it won't make a difference to people not using ocarina as they won't have the codes on their card anyway) if you ever get a spare moment.

thanks.

Is that possible?

Holding B: Go to Settings
Holding A: Force PAL 60
Holding 1: Force NTSC
Holding 2: Force NTSC + vidpatch (whatever that is)

additionally:

Holding +: activate Ocarina
Holding -: deactivate Ocarina

So if you hold 1 and + then you get NTSC with ocarina enabled...
That would be nice and useful for everyone I guess.

maybe holding combinations of buttons to enable multiple features. (modified harryk's combos)

Holding B: Go to Settings
Holding A: vidpatch
Holding 1: Force PAL60
Holding 2: Force NTSC

additionally:

Holding +: activate Ocarina
Holding -: deactivate Ocarina

so if u hold both A + 2 then u get force ntsc +vidpatch

this allows more flexibility.

(did we miss any options)

Somehow this sounds pretty sweet. I don't doubt Forsaekn can do it. But I guess he has plenty of other things to code ^^ Maybe if he finds the time. Or is there another coder out there who can work on the above stated settings?

Yeah I can code that no problem, actually I plan to, it just hasnt been my focus the last day or so. Ive been coding more of my cSM so that it can get ever closer to beta. WiiShizzza, thus far you are the only person I will allow to beta test my custom system menu, when its ready of course. At the moment the disc channel boots both originals and 1:1 backups, it has a rudimentary completely new skin, the settings menu has been revamped to support setting changes on the fly (such as region change, changing IOS versions, etc) as well as adding USB support. Although I havent implemented it yet (its on the agenda of course, thats what new versions are for
tongue.gif
), I've created a new pane in the data menu next to SD that lets you browse and copy channels / savegames to and from USB.

This will be in alpha stages for a while, and once beta hits I will most likely give it to a select few of 5 or so testers.

Forsaekn. Sounds pretty great.
Hope you took some sleep between all your work, mate

Wouldn't mind to test your alpha version. Just contact my via pm.
Great if we can design it together to make the SystemMenu look more modern.
I'm on a PAL console. Just to make sure the cSM won't brick me^^

It's a very great work you do here. I appreciate that very much.
So, I'm sure you'll keep up the good work!

regards.

Wow - excellent work Forsaekn - didnt realise you were so talented at this kinda thing, well done.
If you need a hand with anything im willing to chip in as well as im sure your aware ... and it wont get added to my zips until you say so of course

Thanks for the support, but beta is a good while away. I dont plan on making any videos or taking any pictures of cSM until its ready for extensive testing, and I also won't need to think about testers until that point. I do appreciate all the enthusiasm and excitement over this topic, because well, it is extremely exciting. I've also been PM'd various ideas from various people that will most likely be implemented before release too, so if you have an idea that you think would be a great addition to the system menus functionality, please feel free to PM me with it.. The cSM will be a direct reflection of the community's idea of an ideal system menu.

As for now, I wont be disclosing anymore new information regarding cSM, as its not my intention to raise hype. Im trying to describe my efforts in a way to attract feedback and creativity to ultimately better the project. I also most likely won't consider releasing a beta to some testers until BootMii is released, to provide a means of recovery in case something unexpectedly goes awry.

Thanks all for the support, and keep the creativity coming.

Fors

quick edit: Shizzza, thats great you're on a PAL wii, I look forward to your assistance. I promise I wont brick your wii

I know you won't.

Maybe you can send me some info about the "artwork" sizes etc. so I can try to imagine a good design.
Anyway. I'm cool, when you are. Just waiting patiently.

Hope you get me, through my bad english^^

Not worthy of a PM IMO, but if it is possible one "featurette" that I would like is for it to ask me if I want to overwrite the existing save when I try to copy a save from the NAND to SD (or vice versa) and it already exists.

Currently it just tells me it exists, so I have to go into the SD card and delete the old one before copying over.
