Homebrew Modchipped Switch - Hold R and Select a Game to get into Homebrew Menu?

I hope you are doing Very Well Sir,

I have a question to ask regarding - Hold R and Select a Game to get into Homebrew Menu

I have a TX Modchipped Switch

I would usually go to the Album menu to select the homebrew menu

I understand that this is not the way to get into the homebrew menu

You actually have to hold the R button and select a game to get into the homebrew menu

may i please ask if the hold R button method to get into the homebrew menu works for a SX OS TX Modchipped switch as well ?

or is the Hold R method only for Atmosphere ?

Yes, it works the same on SX OS too.

may I please ask if I do not even have 1 single game installed on my switch how can i still hold r and bring up the homebrew menu ?

I just highlight the album, hold R then click on it. Job done.

I can now bring up the homebrew menu

but for some reason running flycast the dreamcast emulator still crashes to the sx os error page

after i bring up the homebrew menu by holding r and pressing the album icon

i run retroarch

i then load the flycast core

i then select the dreamcast game rom to run

the instant i select the dreamcast game rom

flycast exits out to the sx os error page and asks me to reboot the switch as it has crashed

can any kind soul please help me out here
