Are you not able to grab the audio from the n64 version?
 
Undoing all the censorship that was never needed, that's awesome.

I dunno how well Live and Reloaded runs on XEmu but uncensored Live and Reloaded is already an amazing project to follow so far.

The way i see it, you won't have to compromise on either speech or graphics, it will be the best of both the N64 and the Xbox version.

What's up with those words? I thought the n64 actually had all audio untouched and the censorship done in game
 
The n64 version is slightly censored there was a leaked version a couple of years ago that is 100% uncensored.

The uncensored version isn't a leaked version of the official game. It's a fan dub, the guy who made the hack is also the guy who voiced all of the curse words for the hack.

Unfortunately, the guy who made the uncensored hack forgot to dub some of the lines. Namely, he forgot to dub the angry cog's line after you put the final female cog into the gear system, where he says something like, "thanks shithead, now go on, fuck off with ya."

I know this is stupid, but I also don't like how he bleeped out the bats when they swear. I get it, the joke is that we can't understand the bats anyway so bleeping them is pointless. But, when you're playing the rest of the game uncensored, having the bats censored feels out of place because they'd be the only characters that are bleeped. In my perfect version of the game, I'd just have the bats keep squeaking normally without the bleeping.

interesting, then what about just restoring the n64 dialogue? since the xbox version went even further, even if the n64 one has some censorships it would still be better, right?

That would be a good start! And I'm sure that there are a lot of people who don't want a FULLY uncensored mod for Live & Reloaded, anyway. They just want the less egregious censorship of the N64 version.

We can always do a fully uncensored mod later and then we can provide people with the option to choose the level of censorship that they want.
