Wii: Launch System, December 8th 2006 PAL
Mod Chip: WiiKey 1.9S
Burned: Clean
Burn Speed: 2.4X
Media Used: Arita Dual Layer (Out of Single Layers so I just used a Dual Layer.)

Everything works that I've tried so far, but I keep getting disconnected from Nintendo WFC... anyone having this problem also?

I have my friend code, it's just it doesn't stay on long enough for me to find a match, perhaps Nintendo are disconnecting us? XD

Also: I have installed the channel fine.

Erm, there was a 20 Page Brawl thread exactly the same as this when all the commotion of SSBB was at it's peak.

It doesn't need to happen again, does it?

I personally don't see why not, I think the release threads are more of discussion of the game - not whether or not it works on certain modchips, chipsets, etc.

We're going off topic. If a Mod/Admin deems this thread a waste, then they'll lock it. Leave it up to them, yes?

Fine back on topic we go...but do you understand? I've been here a while and everytime a release like this hits, topics spring up everywhere knocking potentially helpful and useless topics into the abyss. It annoys me to no end.

Anyway no hard feelings and here are my results...

Modchip: Wiikey 1.9S
Media: Verbatim -R's
Speed: 1X, burned with ImgBurn
Wii Firmware: 3.2U

Works fine.

A little late in the game here, but if "everytime a release like this hits, topics spring up everywhere" then lets see, it seems like the users of the site have a de facto interest in such topics, and you are the one that is useless for not adapting?

Just a thought.

PS Anyone who brings up post-count or signup date into an online argument is forgetting that if Stephen Hawking just signed up for a forum about astrophysics, he's still Stephen Hawking regardless of how many posts he's made, and Stephen Hawking knows more than your 10000 post ass about astrophysics. Get a clue, the internet isn't the real world.

Something like that yeah, I'll go make sure.
Yeah, 84020, Disconnected during transmission.

Doesn't work with

Jap Wii D2CKey
Firmware 3.2J
Verbatim DVD-R 4x

Just shows a black screen when press on mario kart wii icon.

MK Wii ISO (RegionFrii/BrickBlocked)
Wii: DMS NTSC/U
Chip: Wasabi
FW: 3.2U
Media: Imation DVD-R burned at 6x

works perfectly.

Works

Modchip : Wiinja V2
Firmware : 3.1U
Media : Sony -R
Speed : 4x

Patched with WIU and Trucha Signer

What duplicate channels are some people getting when downloading the PAL Mario Kart, onto a NTSC Wii ??

Is there a program that could block updates on a Wii game so we won't get dup channels, if so what?

Thanks sosodef

PAL Wii D2C
Argon 1.8 firmware
Media: Verbatim DVD-R
Speed: 4x

Works like a charm.

I'm running it on two different NTSC-U wiis with 1.9s Wiikeys with no problems whatsoever.

What I did both times:

Run Dual Channel Remover v2 (I had japanese channels from NTSC-J Brawl still)

Update to 3.2U via WiFi (I still have IOS36 after this update, as verified by running Dual Channel Remover again)

[At this point, I updated to 1.9s, but there's probably no need, just listing here for completion. Ran the 1.4 config disk to make sure region free and everything was still enabled]

Popped in Mario Kart Wii PAL, unpatched in any way. Installed the update as prompted.

Dual Channels installed, ran Dual Channel Remover V2 again to see what would happen. Dual channels are detected and deleted, but you will be prompted to update again when you run MK.

Installed the channels a second time, ran MK Wii @ 480p widescreen. No problems, DREs, or anything. Runs at 60FPS in single and 2 player split screen. 30FPS online with 2 player split.

Online worked for a few hours before Nintendo brought the servers down.

NOTE: Ran it in 480i over component and over composite. Both cause the game to run at 30FPS instead of 60FPS in Single Player mode on an NTSC-U console. Strangely, 2 player split-battle (didn't try versus race) works in 60FPS. Game plays in 30FPS in battle (iirc) and races over Wi-Fi when you bring a second player online with you. Didn't get to test single player Wi-Fi.

Also, i just remembered I fumbled through the Wii settings menu too, worked fine and no "semi-brick". Just dual channels, same situation as running Brawl JAP on NTSC-U console. Also have ran NTSC-U brawl and gamecube discs since, all work same as before.

In conclusion, now that dual channels are reversible, there's no real harm in installing the update given you're already at 3.2U

Can anyone actually confirm that installing the update won't fix the Trucha Bug? If this will stop me from playing my copy of SSBB on my PAL Wii, then it's not worth it.

I have a 3.1E PAL Wii with Wiikey 1.9g.

Working fine here, including mario kart channel & online play.

Untouched ISO
PAL D2C Wii 3.2E
Wasabi
50Hz / Composite

Not that single layer media is picky.. but Verbatim TYG03 (Japan) @16x on Pioneer 111D, 111L 1.29 fw, Imgburn 2.4.1.0

Patched with WBB
NTSC-J D2B 3.1J
Wiikey 1.9s
Memorex DVD+R

Locks up on load.

Patched with WBB + RegionFrii

Locks up on load.

Patched with ppf+ WBB

Locks up on load.

Works

JAP Wii
Modchip : Wiikey 1.9g
Firmware : 3.2J
Media : Verbatim +RW
Speed : 4x

I also updated with Jap SSBB - this may be a factor in getting it to work on your jap system

Works fine for me.

US Wii 3.2U modded with yaosm 3.0, I ran WiiBrickBlocker_v1_3R2 on the iso and burned the iso on a Verbatim -r disc using imgburn at 4x.
