Hi! so I bought this Wii from marketplace, and when i turned it on it just showed the preloader menu. What should i do?

Now it's finished, can anyone explained to me how on earth the winner got 1.31 in the competition - was there a route I missed or rider / bike /kart combo
that is especially good? Absolutely smashed my best time...
