miniCDi - Philips CD-i emulator

I put multiple BIOS files in this "rom" folder, but the emulator is stuck on this screen. What am I actually supposed to do?

Try sd/miniCDi/rom instead, or whatever folder your config file points to. That at least got the bios to start for me. If you are able to actually play any games, please let me know how you were able to do it!

That never worked for me, and I pointed it to each. No difference.

Okay all of those steps sound familiar but my results have been wildly different. At what point do you run into a game selection screen? Does it load the bios first, and if so do you have black bars obscuring it?

So, after all this time, it turns out I had ALL the files set up perfect. I just never waited the 55 seconds it takes a game to load, as it always seemed like the emulator was doing absolutely nothing.

Maybe for a game like Daytona USA, you could expect a 55-second wait... for a CDI game...

Okay so I had previously not booted this from the homebrew channel and only used the overclock forwarder. Unfortunately it seems the forwarder was causing the black bars on the screen.

However, it still loads the bios menu after a few minutes and there is no game selection whatsoever. I've tried using a wiimote and classic controller but no buttons prompt the selection. What am I doing wrong??

If you load any valid game, it will work. I booted four titles in my previous tests.

At this point in time, I would recommend you to just wait for the next version, right now it is way too slow and definitely not playable, maybe 4-5 fps max. Still interesting to see the CD-i finally running on a Nintendo console, this will likely get much better later.

It is the very first thing that appears when you open the app, yes. Now i'm wondering what in the world you're getting first, if not that. There is no way to boot the BIOS if you don't even go past that screen first.

It always skips straight to the BIOS for me. Keeping the video short because it takes about 3 minutes. At the beginning there is a brief flash of what I assume is the emulator menu. Sounds like this happens to @selun_C as well.

Since you have this working, are you on Wii, vWii or Dolphin? I've only tested vWii.

Maybe it's the emulator GitHub has a Wii u version
