I play on a private one I run with people I know, not a gbatemp one.
 
1.5 isn't just for redstoners, map makers are going to have a ball with some of the new features.

Like using anvils to rename spawn eggs, and things spawned from those eggs having titles.

You know that was actually one of the previous snapshots that it was implemented, right? They just improved on it this snapshot.
Also, dispensers are absolutely amazing now.

Previously you needed to edit the game files to get that... now you can do it in-game.

The more features you can do in-game, the more people it's available to, the more we'll see it used.
 
did anyone mess around with fireworks?

I built a small display of 5 dispensers on an island and ran the red stone circuit to my house roof so I can set them off from there
theres just so many different combos you can make

Didn't and still haven't had the chance. My main world (A hardcore world that I've had for a while) decided to randomly delete some of my most frequented chunks. Unfortunately, this included my storage rooms and a bunch of redstone related builds. So I started a new world =/
Need to get a mob trap going to get me some gun powder. Already have my enderman farm in the end, a double blaze spawner and a regular skele spawner.

Also, jukeboxes now have the ability to send out a redstone signal using the comparator. However it doesn't work the way I would have liked. It sends out a signal relevant to what record is being played. If the first record is being played, a signal strength of 1 is sent out. I was hoping it would be based on song length, like it begins at 0 strength and goes to 15 or the other way around.
 
Have any of you seen what the Minecraft community is like?

They complain and whine because the've found a mod that has an awesome feature which should be added to vanilla. Then they get all sooky when Mojang adds it because they "stole" it from a mod. Honestly you can see it happening all over the Minecraft Forums xD

too many items has a randomized fireworks spawner if you wannt save a lot of time
inv edit doesnt have fireworks support yet, though you can get all the items required for crafting, craft a few different fireworks with desired colors and effects, then just duplicate them in stacks of 64 in inv edit
