If you didn't already know a iDevice version of Minecraft was released the other day. It's called "Minecraft Pocket Edition", just wanted to see if any other Tempers liked it. I personally think it's pretty good, but the motion buttons on the left are too bunched up together for my fingers. Oh, and does anyone know of a sort of XLinkKai for iDevice games? Minecraft Pocket Edition has Wifi games meaning if someone's on your Wifi network they can play with you. Is it possible to reroute it like XLinkKai does?

"Minecraft - Pocket Edition" is the full name.

Not sure bout XLinkKai though. But I'm enjoying the game. I wouldn't say it's Wi-Fi, I think it is using the Bluetooth chip. Would make more sense.

What it says, doesn't always mean it's doing that. If it was doing that, I don't see why online games cannot be possible; if anything, it COULD be Adhoc WiFi, but I doubt it.

    It's most likely Bluetooth

Likewise. You'd think it'd spring up some kind of error when I have Bluetooth off.

    Is it survival or creative?

I bought it for my iPad, knowing there isn't much to it, and there's not.

However, I have two kids, and they both love Minecraft (as does their dad, me) and having a spare Minecraft version around is handy, even if it's only a rudimentary creative mode.

Also, I know it'll get better as time goes by, so I don't mind getting in on it early.

The controls are ok, but take some getting used to.. a lot easier on a tablet than on a phone. The map size is limited (there are edges.) It looks really nice on the iPad, it looks like Minecraft.

There are no mobs at all.. just you and the land and a small page of blocks to use.

It's not really worth 7 bucks now, but it will be at some point.

I got it also and I'm liking it like mthrnite said not worth 7$ right now but, hopefully it gets better.

By the way, does anyone know if it is possible to play in Multiplayer between the Android version and the iOS version?

    Awesome!
That means I'll be able to play this with my friend if he gets around to adding this to his iPod (If the iPod touch latest gen can handle it, of course.)

Its buggy as hell. I have to close every program on my iPod to get enough memory to run it. Thank god for SBsettings having the processes button.

Fucking hell... It says "wifi" BECAUSE IT IS WIFI. NOT BLUETOOTH. WIFI.

Yes, it's compatible with the Android version. But again, both have to be running on the same WIFI NOT BLUETOOTH network in order to communicate.

If I open InfinityBlade, or EDEN iOS automatically clears RAM for use, ending several Apps. Minecraft obviously hasn't coded the right trigger in yet or something.

    The user's.
    The makers.

Also, not sure about the iOS version, but the Android version requires an Xperia Play to run properly.
It runs on other mobiles, but not as good as on the Xperia Play.
