FYI - just got a comment on my Youtube video of this...seems like it doesn't work on the iPlayer

This had got me thinking WHO has tried this out & on what cards has it been tried on....(& also WHICH version did they have to use)
Might be a good idea to have this info (perhaps on the first post or I could put it on the video description ?!?) for any1 else who'll like to try it out, so that they know which version to use or if it will even work on it

What does everyone else think ??

Just take a look at the antiviruses that detects it : only crappy ones!
Have you seen something detected by the most serious ones? mc afee bitdefender kapersky detects nothing. why? Just quoting because it sounds so obvious :
"Nota Bene : A malware found by some antivirs may be a false positive, so judge by yourself" or just "these results DO NOT guarantee the harmlessness of a file"
Furthermore it seems you're not used to the devscene, because we often get false positives, for examples : a small program writed by bruni, which recursivly add the headers files of a program in a single one named all.h Because of this it can be detected as a trojan but of course, is not. So when you dont know about what youre saying, just dont speak.

I popped along to mention that some1 had mentioned this 'Malware' threat on my Youtube channel, but looks like I was beaten to it...
However - I've checked the following files on http://www.virscan.org/ and here's THOSE results

MapGen / MapUpdate / MC2DS (not tested 'pcx2bin' as for some reason I don't have that in the latest DSCraft download)

Now considering that 'A-Squared' used the same virus scanner engine as 'Ikarus' I usually count those as a single result - I would say the 'malware threat' are most probably 'false positives'

Incidentally - someone has put on the Wiki the following

For your information... it has been claimed that the EXE supplied in the download are infected with malware, HOWEVER Results are not 100% accurate and can be reported as a false positive by some scanners when and if malware is found. Please judge these results for yourself.

& added both VirusTotal and Virscan.org results

EDIT: Hang on !! - the 'mapupdate' and pcx2bin.exe' result links [for Virustotal] are wrong, they go to files called 'smona132138837176473751011' and 'thistsend4.txt'
Just rescanned 'mapupdate.exe' & THIS is the result I get from that site (not got pcx2bin so can't do that one)

EDIT #2: OK so I managed to find a PCX2BIN.EXE download [via googling] & it comes up with 'PCX Converter V1.01 P DEHLINGER' when you try to run it,
but when checking it @ VirusTotal - it apparently has NEVER been checked there before - so HERE'S the result for the version I found
I've also checked the file on 'Virscan.org' & this is it's results

Anyone who has the 'proper' PCX2BIN.exe file - could they check it on those 2 sites... just to find out WHICH results are the correct ones - thanks

Can be a fake cart, try booting with HBmenu or use an alternate rom launcher
