Minecraft coming for iOS

The android version is....lacking its not that its not good or anything it works fine, its just that it was never meant to be on phones. It just doesn't feel right

I don't think Minecraft belongs on tablets or phones. Minecraft is a game I want to dump hours upon hours. That's not something fit for a platform like Android, iOS, or any mobile platform. This is mostly about phones, and excluding the Xperia Play.

I like to spend hours building one tower, or castel, making it perfect in every way. When people play games on their phone, they're usually(in most cases) looking for something "pick-up-and-play" not something like this.

Also, I am not a huge fan of on-screen(touch screen) d-pads or joysticks, and I cannot think of a comfortable way to make the minecraft controls on a mobile phone. I have seen the Android controls, and they don't seem that great in my opinion.

I can MAYBE see think working well on tablets, but controls holding it back.

The android version controlled better than I thought it would. Better than keyboard/mouse? No, but what is!

All of these different versions are sort of worthless to me without one central online play though. Who knows if Android and iOS devices will be able to play, and they definitely will not be able to play on PC servers. If this was possible, I'd love to have a mobile version to play for 5 minutes if I needed a quick fix. Due to it being it's own thing though, it's just sort of pointless to me.
