So I'm guessing there is no way to play Minecraft on an old 3DS... pity!

I was pretty amped to see this... until I realized it isn't O3DS compatible.

Possible if u what to change in the game

Some new3ds exclusives can be converted to work with old3ds, but they tend to be simpler titles like rcmadiax games and snes VC.
Minecraft will definitely not work, I've already tried :P It needs access to core2 among other things.

I've attached script I made for it in case anybody wants to play around with it.
(instructions are in comments at the top of the script file)

It's not only the lack of extra CPU power, it's the lack of the needed controls that the O3DS simply doesn't have.

It's memory - on top of the fact if you use a New 3DS with CPU underclock the game's framerate is terrible. But the game won't boot at all on Old 3DS since apparently the devs say it's basically maxing out what the New 3DS has so not happening in it's current state anyway.

The old3DS is far too weak to handle this game
I honestly suggest buying either a used N3DS or a N2DSXL at this point and long before this game came out.
ehh, I would have to highly recommend going for a switch for minecraft rather than a 3ds :/

I wonder if fire emblem warriors would work (when it comes out). I'm guessing that it still uses the same engine as hyrule warriors, but with a check for the newer hardware

Very unlikely.

Games like brick race and blockform give you an indication on the type of games that work with old3ds conversion.

That said, I did get BOI to work with initial menus, but it crashed in-game.
