Just a small wish : is it possible to make your great app fit to 16/9

not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I have noticed that if you have your wii set to widescreen you should be getting a 4x3 grid.. SD gives a 3x3 grid in mighty channels.

the drive is fine as it works fine when I install the cios to slot 249 but not when I put it on slot 248.
Mmmm... Then that can mean that the cIOS on slot 248 isn't working correctly.
If you press Home button you can see what IOS is Mighty Channels using. Please check if it's really using IOS 248.

Yes. It detects automatically if you are using 4:3 or 16:9, but you must configure your Wii first.

ok finally got things working but not how I intended. seems the problem is with installing 38 rev 17 to a slot other than 249. when using the network install it installed to 249 perfectly and im able to run mighty. when I use the wad install and changing the slot to 248 using showmiiwads and setting mighty to use 248 it doesnt work.

when i use network it says 249 rev 17. when i use wad install it says 249 rev 3867 or 248 rev 3867 if I install it to 248 using showmiiwads and set mighty to use 248.

using IOS38-64-v3867.wad

idk why the network vs wad using the above wad install differently.

I ended up using network install to install rev 17 to 249 and used showmiiwads to install the 249 rev 20 that works with wiiflow to 250 and using wiiflow with slot 250 on all games.

thing is i still dont understand why when using the above wad, and I did download it from several different sources, the install doesnt come up as rev17 but instead as rev3867 and why that affects whether mighty works properly.

So i tried Beta5, 4 and 3 with cios rev 21.
No one works.
On the one hand I get error -101 on the other hand I got error -1.
Sometimes I got a code dump.

Just rev 17 is working without any issue. -.-

some additional info that might narrow down the problem, also used beta4 and had same problem

on the bottom of mighty on the main screen it says ios249 rev 17 or ios249 rev20, depending on which one i am using at the current time. i need ios249 rev20 for wiiflow.

so when I have ios 249 rev17 installed to slot 249 everything works fine. I dont know why when I change the slot in the xml file to 248 it always has my 249 rev listed on the screen. Seems like its loading from 249 no matter what and that the xml file slot change is not taking affect.
Did you remove the lines on the meta.xml file?

I have the same problem trying to get it to load from slot 248. Can you please post a screenshot of how the xml should look? TIA

***Thanks but I figured it out. Seems to load 248 just fine now****

I will also try the 248 method with rev 17 because rev 21 isn't working properly.
But I think, rev 21 will fix some issues with nand emulation like dlc content and playback.

Edit:
It is working.
IOS 248 with cios rev 17 works with mighty channels.

how did you get rev 17 to install to slot 248?

when u load mightly to use slot 248 does it say rev 17 at the bottom?

Correct. If I start mighty and push home it will display 248 rev 17 at the bottom.
I installed rev17 and made a full dump of the nand with FS Toolbox. After that I changed the slot in showmiiwads from 249 to 248 and made a wad.
Finally I installed cios rev 21 base 38 on slot 249 and rev 21 base 37 on slot 250.
So I have 248 -> rev17, 249 -> rev21base38 and, 250 -> rev21base37.

After some investigations I found out, that mighty has problems with VC games.
I tried Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Spinmaster and both aren't working with mighty beta5 (got a code dump).
So I tested to run both games with triiforce r82. Both are working correctly there.
Also cios rev21 is working with triiforce.

Maybe there is a bug in mighty which hangs up the emulator/program.

ah so u did get rev 17 to install to 248, but how did you do it????

using network install it goes right but when I use wad install with the wad listed in the description for the installer it installs a differnt rev.

You shall use modmii on your computer :

Menu Advanced Custom Downloads, select CIOS (ou IOS) to modify : 24917 (for slot 249 CIOS 17).

Enter slot required : 248 , don't change version number (so answer "N" to version question)

Download it

and you will get a wad like cIOS249v17b38slot248.wad

this is CIOS 17 ready to install on slot 248.

install it as a wad.

- You have to install rev 17 with wanins installer.
- Then you have to dump your whole nand with fstoolbox.
- Use Showmiiwads to extract ios 249
- Use Showmiiwads to change the ios slot from 249 to 248
- Create a Wad with Shwomiiwads for ios248
- Use Wad Manager 1.7 to install the wad.

I assume you are talking about PAL versions of these games, right?
I'll try them.

EDIT: Both games work for me.
Are you using SD or USB?
How many games do you have installed?
What video mode are you using in your Wii and in Mighty Channels configuration?

Strange. o.O
Yes I am talking about PAL games.

I am using USB and I have 12 games installed.
At the moment I am using the standard configuration (the settings since the first start)
I didn't change anything.

Video Mode is 60Hz PAL in Wii Main Menu.

Edit:
Nevertheless I like your application very very much. =D

Here's a method to get it working on sneek...

1. Install patched IOS36 into slot 249 with ShowMiiWads or modify Mighty Channel source code to use patched IOS36.
2. Run Mighty Channel from a full channel or from HBC with SD card enabled.
3. Select real NAND under Mighty Channel.
4. Enjoy!

Use bluedump alpha 3 instead and ONLY export your ios 249 slot as a wad. Then open that wad in showmiiwads and change ios slot to your own choise. No need to make an full dump of the nand.

Or use modmii thats even easier.

My Wii Settings is :

16/9 and EDTV/HDTV (480p) on a 4.2E sysmenu..

Maybe some of you are interested in testing cIOS rev21d2x v3 beta1 which should fix the save file issue.

Please test and report there.

Thanks davebaol, your fixes for the lag is great! I'm glad you were able to look at the other issue rev21 had! I will try this out later when i get home and see how it goes!
