Dang, sorry to the bros who got banned. Hopefully better things are ahead for the scene. Wonder if Spawn Wave will get banned lol. Although his video was made before the latest Mig fw update.

As if banning pirates from buying your games is a fitting punishment. :rofl2: I will never understand why they do that.

Now if they actually ban firmware updates, THAT will be something to make people think twice about using MIG because you can never play anything newer than what your firmware supports. I doubt that will be the case though.

There's the digital only and keycard games, I guess those can't be played either; also, any switch 1 to switch 2 update... until some sort of CFW arrives, and if ever, banned switch 2 seems like a big fuckup...

Is this actually confirmed?

With OG Switch, can a person walk into Walmart, buy a 'code in a box' and download that on a banned OG Switch?

i guess the more interesting question is if anyone has been banned that ONLY booted the migswitch AFTER they updated the FW

I am saying a banned console can have no digital game or update installed, precisely. Only firmware updates ( even this is to be checked in switch 2 ).

You can’t go on the eshop at all with a banned Switch so the code is not useable on it no
Good to know, thanks.

So at this point, using a MIG in a Switch 2 is certainly a bad idea if you care about playing Switch 2 games. Once games are dumped and usable will be a different story.

Well SwitchTools (the X poster) actually used trimmed dumps…

it is annoying to redownload stuff from the eshop when it boots back up. but i moved it all to my sd card so i'm gonna see if i can clone it to my pc in this state before i use my mig then just put it all back on the card and see if maybe then i only have to download the home screen icon and not the entire game
so just deleting the home menu icon with the sd card out of the system and all the files still on it, requires you to redownload the entire game and seemingly overwrite whatever is on the sd card. i hate it lol

still not banned so thats cool

I was using untrimmed roms, and also banned.

Time to see if a 2nd switch that used the same flashcart, but factory reset before connecting to the internet gets banned or not.

did you use the migflash before the 1.20 firmware came out to make it compatible?

so the real test now is

Did ANYONE get banned who only used the migswitch AFTER the firmware update that made it compatible with the Switch 2

Would maybe be people who tried the migswitch (when the games wouldnt load) getting banned
