Internet Explorer sucks cow nipples, Google Chrome is the best.

Did you know that Google owns the rights to all your searchs through chrome. Read your terms and conditions and see how Chrome sucks too. Firefox all the way.

This.

Hooray for open source.

No. The only only people that use IE are people that don't know anything about computers and think IE is the internet. Google Chrome FTW. (and soon ChromeOS

I asked my friend which internet provider he had. He said Internet Explorer.

I use Firefox, but still I don't think IE is a bad application.
Heck is way way better then AOL browser that believe it or not a lot of people still uses around here LOL.
I'm trying to get into Chrome , I really want to like it, especially since I love lightweight and faster applications opposite to large , bulky milestones of heavy duty OS integrated programs...., but somehow I find in lacking , don't know exactly what it is, but I just like the way I layed out favorites and stuff around here on Firefox and it's not worth to change it ....yet.
But yeah as a browser IE does a lot of things right ( tabs, favorites, add ons, customization, ) and it hasn't any trouble displaying any page I trow at it, while some obscure ones do have problems in other browsers and clearly go for " optimized for IE blah blah...".
It didn't happen in the past couple of years or so mind you, but a few times I got trouble loading some pages and I had to use IE instead of firefox.
So although I prefer firefox, it wouldn't be fair to say that IE sucks.
You can do worse than that. Just my 2 cents.

For browsing and the casual stuff most people do its fine. It isn't a bad browser. It just lacks in certain aspects that we care about. Firefox and Opera just have some of the stuff we want and use in our everyday lives. Plus it has an awesome amount of add-ons. The thread wasn't named correctly...
BTW, Firefox > Opera > IE > Chrome > Safari

look at my avatar that what I think of MS and their shitty browser

I used IE back in the day IE5 and 5.5, switched to FF then to opera I like opera but too many bugs and stuff, now I switched to google but in mint 8,

i used to use IE... but then whenever i closed it, i got errors. so now i just use FireFox with a cool skin/theme.

but i have like 4 web browsers on my laptop.

Chrome, IE, Safari and FireFox

IE is good for what it is: A means to get you on the internet. Which, in hindsight, should be the only thing that matters.
For everything else, of course, it fails in comparison to the "better" browsers out there. We all like shiny things.

used IE only as my last resort

if i just need a webpage to render fast, i use opera

If not, i might use chrome as my backup browser(leave the best for the last

)

For everyday matter, i use firefox, if only they can do something about how much memory FF use, i will die a happier dude.

@boxshot below me: same here, the curse of forgetting to get portable apps

Did you know that it's incredibly simple to disable Google's tracking? And even if you don't, it's not like anything will happen. What, you think Chrome is spyware?
