Hey guys, I'm having abit of an issue.. My games keep freezing upon boot.
My microsd is an official SANDISK 256GB card and it's formatted to FAT32.
I didn't have this problem before but for some reason it's been happening frequently lately.
I went back to the place I got the microsd card from and they pretty much told me to use NTFS or still with Exfat. What should I do as I know FAT32 is usually the best for the switch.

Kosmos Atmosphere V11.11.1
w/ sigpatches.
Hekate 4.9.1

1 thing to check : you didn't (unintentionally) run a firmware upgrade?
When I boot into OFW, all my games show up but I can't start them.

You could try to do a full format on a PC.
That should mark bad sectors as such. Even brand cards have bad sectors sometimes.
When you to a 'quick' format, it only formats the beginning of the card.

When you keep running into problems, run a check to see if it might be a counterfeit card.
You can use a tool called 'H2testw' for that.
That happened to me too.
The 16GB card turned out to be a 2GB card.
As long as I would use less than the 2GB, it worked just fine.

You buy this card as a brand new or second hand? Bc in your photo is possible to note that one side of the card is peeling the paint, and that´s not normal on original new cards. As thesjaakspoiler stated, first thing is to run in on h2testw. Good luck!

Check the card with H2testw as the other have suggested, and don't open more than one thread on the same issue.

backup your SD card & format it Fat32 again then copy back your files & test. sometimes doing so fixes these kind of issues. if not then try another SD card files like Reinx or Atmosphere. if still freezing then it could be your SD card or SD card slot to know which one try a different SD card & install couple of games & test it if games run ok then it's your SD card if not then it's your Switch. but remember to use a different cfw like Reinx or Atmosphere. Kosmos did not work for me at all.

Only buy SD cards from a shop shop a named known shop that you can walk into, that way you know you are getting a real card and not a fake, I gave up buying SD cards on line most times they turn out to be fake even from amazon

What you talking about, even from a retailer like bestbuy and other electronics store you can still get fake card, not just Amazon.
