Anyone ever try this? I ordered a 4GB MicroSDHC w/adapter for cheap, I also have 2 Kingston 2GB and a Patriot 1GB Micro SD's, but dunno If I can use them to be a Magic Memory stick or does it have to be a real MS Pro DUO card? Thanks!

Not sure about MMS (has to support MagicGate) but it won't be a good solution for playing games, as the adapter kills the speed (read and write).

Out of curiosity, is there a reason it's labeled READER as opposed to the others being ADAPTERS?

On PS3 forums they didn't have issues, plus if you are having issues it might be due to a class4 card, I made sure to get a 4GB class6 card, hopefully it will work out fine, only paid 17.99+S/H for the 4GB+Adapter

I do almost all my psp gaming exclusively this way (except for one Lexar Platinum card for GoW). I've not experience any problems except with some lag in .cso of the GTA games (which are problematic in .cso form for most Memory Stick Pro Duo anyhow). I'm using Transcend 4GB Class 6 in all my 6 adapters I bought from DX. No problems whatsoever.

thanks for the info!!! I am getting the transcend+adapter, what did you pay from DX if I may ask?

As for GTA, i'm not into that game but have heard its intense on most Memory cards, Have you tried GOW:CoO? on it, does it play good?

You would want them to be CSO either way, but heh... mostly for space issues. And no, most CSOs DONT have problems for most cards, on almost every card they play fine except for the worst, similar to ISOs. Srsly.

, I was hoping to review it, and if good buy a 2nd one before the PSP scene caught onto it and they become sold out!

You can buy 2 of these and still be under the cost of a real 8GB card!

That is untrue. MagicGate means absolutely shit when it comes to playing games. I've been using my 8gb microSD and pro duo adapter and everything works just fine.

I've only read about this at Maxconsole, maybe the newer, better microSD have improved upon this problem. If so, great!

I think you misunderstood me. I only meant that MagicGate will affect if it can be a Magic Memory Stick (MMS). I know this has nothing to do with playing games, but if it does not support MagicGate, he will not be able to patch the CFW onto his PSP and will have to buy something else as well. As I said above, I don't have this combination, I'm only talking about speed test results I've seen (not good) and discussion with people that do have it.

I'm pretty sure this is a myth. The only use for MagicGate was Sony's shitty DRM.
