But today for the price i can sell one vita 64Gb i can buy 3 or 4 MicroSD 64Gb.

Do not trust this guy. He has no idea what he is getting himself into at $10 a pop. Just a warning.

Wait for yifanlu/xyz to fully test these things and refine them before buying in. It won't take long, I promise :)

these are probably just going to be rebranded black fin adapters
none of the work into getting the vita to actually see and use these has been done

I was excited... then I thought about it more carefully. We don't know how well these will work, if we ever get them at all. I'll wait for someone else to take the bullet for me. In the meantime, I've got a PSTV with the USB stick hack!

Feels like a scam considering the video Yifan Lu posted was a PoC and there is no guarantee that this functionality will ever see its way into the public scene.

Yifan Lu released everything needed to make them. These are just Yifan's boards printed with a micro sd adapter soldered on. He even posted in the SD2VITA threads where the sales were announced. Apparently it's been confirmed to work on fat and slim vitas and should work on vita tvs in theory. Yifan even released the patches needed to mount the card on github

Yifan questioned him and the dude owns a small repair shop apparently. I'm sure it'll be fine.

He said a repair business, not a physical shop, and if that is true then he REALLY won't have time to do all the bullshit required to sell all these at $10 a pop.

just curious, that's it? saw the board linked and its just a direct connection from Vita card slot to a micro SD, no additional electronic parts? So... technically if you're hard core, you can directly solder a sd card to the board side of the pins of the vita card slot and used the patched software of henkaku?

Yeah. It's completely passive.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.

@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
