Hardware Micro SD card not recognized by anything, can't format

Well, my card reader lost connection while writing to the SD card and now it acts like there is no card inserted at all. Win XP does not recognize it, Ubuntu neither... I can't format it because it acts just like it isn't there. Is this fixable? If yes, how?

Tried that. Twice. I'm sure the card is the problem.

Try running DISKPART from CMD in windows,
Type LIST DISK
See if your card is there?

i remember having that problem and i tried everything... trust me everything. I tried from usb and adapter but just couldnt format. Most probably its a micro SD life running out issue.
