I'm trying to upscale this one but have run into a few errors.

First thing, shadows don't display. See pictures below.

Does anyone know a solution for this?
This is my first attempt to upscale a ps2 game btw.

Is the shadow actually a texture that you've upscaled? Can you upload what you have right now so we can check it?

The 1st and 3rd picture aren't upscaled. The 2nd, 4th and the 5th are.

Yes, search for gray gradient or empty black textures. Delete them all, maybe it will fix your problem.

That's what I was getting at. Old games often used textures for shadows rather than doing any kind of lightmaps. Sometimes they get dumped with everything else and can look like crap when upscaled.
 
Most of the upscaled textures where made with Waifu2x gui using Real-ESRGAN-ncnn-vulkan.
I'm probably going to start all over again. This time with Chainner because it produced the correct shadows.
