Gaming Mhxx switch and 3ds cross play?

Ok so you need to update 3ds version, and
If you have freeshop you can go in and delete any updates on mhxx and install them from there. Itll pull the latest update from xx and allow online play

Probably should go in a help forum so sorry if misplaced. Anyone playing know how to do this, having issue setting up options for switch and 3ds to play together.

There is, mhxx came out just today, its japan region.

I have a modded 3ds that runs that version, my friend has a switch. I just seen that an update was avaliable and cant find it anywhere so rip online play till then.

It waant there when i checked. I found a solution on my own by luck though.

Can anyone outline the save transfer process, if they've tried it? My 3DS is Japanese, but has CFW to region change. Playing the JPN version is no problem, but I can't access the eShop or NNID, so if those are needed I won't bother importing.
