i am playing .cia with japanese subtitle...damn pain in the ass...luckily i am chinese so i can read part of the japnese. but i would much perfer a english version of this cia.

Not sure if the editor already had those, I haven't tried it yet.

Also, where can I find "extradatatool"? I've been using SDF because I have CFW but I have a friend that can only use NINJHAX.

Anybody knows where's the offset for palico level?

It seems some hunting arts get unlocked by leveling the palico, which is really a pain...

I will edit in the editor.
I can see the changes of playtime when choosing the save data.
But, looking at the guild card after selecting the save data, playtime is back to the original.
Hmm...

So... I've just been dumping my saves until now, but I finally tried editing one and now the game crashes after the first black screen with Japanese text. If I delete the save completely the game works fine, but if I try restoring one of my unmodified backups it starts crashing again. Is there some trick I'm missing?

hmmm... weird i never had that crash, it usually loads a file and let me see my character...
so since you crash as soon as you start the game, the problem must be ether with your rom if you modded it, or with the whole system files! maybe try injecting your save slot in to a fresh system file!?.
or backtrack your steps of what you have edited...
