Anyone getting it?

Release date: March 18 (US), March 20 (Japan & PAL territories)
Platforms: PS3, 360, PS4, One, Wii U
Length: 2 hours...wait what
Cost: Er, $30 & £25.00
Is it really two hours: Yeah, but there's bonus missions or something. I dunno.

Is Snake going to sound all gritty and gravelly again?

No.

Is he going to be kicking ass and asking terrorists where the bomb is?

Probably.

Totally rooting for Kiefer now tho after watching the first couple of seasons of 24. sorry hayter.

They say this "game" can be completed within 20 minutes.
Only if you skip every single cutscene and speedrun the main mission, there's a huge number of side missions which are the entire point and a lot of collectibles to find that present the story. It's very much a "game" just like any other Metal Gear Solid title, it's just different and on top of that, it was always meant as just a prologue, hence the low price point.

I already pre-ordered my copy and got Peace Walker HD free while at it, which is a great deal for the $26 I paid for it. I can't wait till it's finally downloaded and ready to boot. :)

Friend of mine got it today, he'll be bringing his Xbox over to my house on Friday to play. He's already beaten it, took him two and a half hours. There are also apparently 4 side missions and the Raiden mission.

Has anyone else reached the raiden mission? for those on PS3/4 it is a huge snatcher joke. Right from the outset, and it is just plain awesome.

FYI the Raiden mission is for XB1/360, PS3/4 owners get the throwback mission.

Play times have varied, there's apparently a couple big sidequests too. I was tempted to grab it because I love MGS, it's only $20 digitally so maybe I'll go for it someday.

So is it so short that everyone is complaining about?

I think it's more because everyone expected a full MGS game instead of the short prequel that it is. It seems the average play time including all cutscenes and side missions is somewhere between 2-3 hours, depending on your play style.

You know, I tore apart some of the files on the Ps3 version, and it looks like someone could easily make some user created content for it. Someone would have to extract some encryption keys from the game executable, but that would be the most difficult part of doing it.
Either way, it would be something cool to pass time until the real game comes out.

I'm going to take egoraptor's side here - this game is all about exploration and uncovering the plot, it's as long as you want it to be. Funny review below.

Very disappointing it's just as what I expected it to be, a demo being sold for a ridiculous price.
I'll buy this when it costs £2.50 or less 'cause until then there's plenty of real games to play. If I wanted a demo I'd go to the PlayStation Store.
