Hacking MFE Player V1 Channel

Do the videos crash on this version. because when i load the wii version of mfe through the homebrew channel or the homebrew launcher the films crash after a minmute or so... But if I use the twilighthack directly it works just fine...

So did this fix that problem?

Your videos probably crash due to encoding or long file names.

I have no problem playing full-length movies encoded in XViD format.

I tried maybe 4 different movies and I had the same problem with all of them. I kept the file names to a minimum as far as letters are concerned...

Like I said: The twilight hack works fine. Just the loader and the channel cause trouble. Maybe I should jsut try it myself and see what happens

Mine have worked fine from the start. Either way, the MFE is due for a major upgrade anyway.

I'm hoping for a channel with a customizable interface, full TCP/USB support, and the WiFi acting as a media server(so you can stream files from the Wii to other computers/Wiis).

I tested a long time ago(the very first channels I ever made), and this one never worked for me. Maybe he's using a newer version of it(MFE), but this thread has gone all offtopic xD

I'm also having problems with running it trough the HomeBrew Channel, it makes me crash when im about a minute in the video. Its not the filenames nor the codecs, it works fine if started from the Twilight Hack.

MFE, for the moment at least, is generally incompatible with the Homebrew Channel. Although it will load and allow you to run your video, the file may stop suddenly after a minute or two, and your wii effectively crashes, even though you can get the background image of the MFE menu to appear by pressing B. To get around this you will need to boot the app directly using the twilight hack for the moment.
