Hacking Metroid Prime Trilogy

am i the only person who cant see the alt dols on screen

on 4.1 latest usb loader gx, thingie rev 14 etc.... no probs with anything else though the only time i used alt dols i got them from someone else and put them onto my sd card.


got the 7.91 oneup think it was rip, put it on my usb drive which has 130 games which all work.

load it fine, get through to selecting a game and creating a save, i think.

go into usbloader gx

settings

where the option is for alt-dol i change it to alt-dol from disc
below that i dont see a list of alt dols, it just says 'alt-dol from disc' again

if i click on the words alt dol from disc it code dumps
if i dont click on anything and save and open game it code dumps

Hi folks, I have a question. I've been using USB Loaders for a while now, so I'm kind of clueless about the latest disc launchers. When I tried to play a burned backup of this game, I got the same IOS Reload green screen that a USB loader gives.

How would I go about fixing this problem so that I could play the game normally? Or would I still need to use an alt dol method to load? (I hope not, lol)

EDIT: Forgot to say, I have cIOS Rev 13b, preloader .29, and BootMii as IOS.

hey. i am not a newbie with this stuff but have a possibly naive question: why does metroid prime trilogy start in veteran mode regardless of what i do?
i am competent enough to know about alt-dols etc and have it on disc so i can experiment to my heart's content but i cannot play in veteran!!!!!!

Well known problem. The only solution right now is to play it from disc.

A cheat code in ocarina may help. But, who can create one ?

use iospatcher to patch it to ios 249 i think

i'm with a problem, i can normaly run the game, but when i chose the version and the game start to load again its back to main wii screen.

i try already use alt dol from disk and i have the same problem.

what i'm suppost to do?

When using alt fol from disc, choose the dols other than main.dol.

I'm on Waninkoko 4.1 firmware and I tried to play this game using the disc channel but it still ask for update. Anyone know what new IOS it need so I can use DOP-IOS to install it. Btw, I have d2pro modchip. Thanks

You already have the IOS you need. What you need to do is block updates using Preloader or Startpatch.

PAL Version works like a charm with ALT DOL on Usb loader.

No problems here.

I use the following configuration for playing the PAL version:

- USB Loader CFG 42b
- IOS 222 V3 or 223 V3 (only needed if you are using 249 rev 14 because broken DL support)
- Alternate Dol form disc

MP1, MP2 and MP3 are working with these configuration.

the only way i can get this to load is via disc thru gecko os :/ no matter how hard i try with every loader out there nothing works

uhhh yes? hence the three seperate files you need to run the game thru usb? That's the whole point

settings to work for Metroid Trilogy PAL

Error 002 fix set to Anti,
Alternate DOL DOL from disk

Then you need to choose which alternate DOL to use,

If you want to play the first Metroid choose rs5mp1_p.dol
second use rs5mp2_p.dol etc etc

The only other thing is you must have a disk in the drive, doesn't matter what, you can even have an xbox360 disk in there!

It starts off with a black screen but after a few seconds the game starts

ps I'm using a scrubbed image, doesn't seem to matter
