Gaming Metroid Prime Trilogy without doing the "Alt. Dol" thing...

I'm not sure if it will help your issue but d2x v10 beta52 has better compatibility with certain games so maybe it will help.

Changing "game IOS" to 250 and setting "Block IOS Reload" to Auto seems to have fixed the issue for me. Im not sure I understand why though but I am happy it worked! Any idea why?

On a side note I had an issue with Just Dance 2015 today giving me a black screen and not loading(using game ios 249) but after I changed it to use 250 it loaded fine and it seems like its the same thing here for metroid. Im guessing some games just work better and/or have better compatibility using ios 250? Do you think I should download and install d2x v10 beta 52 or stick to what I have?

As long as it works, I don't see a need to change anything. Maybe you have beta52 on IOS250? I've seen a lot of people with beta53 on slot 249 and beta52 on slot 250. Seems like that's the recommended setup in completesg ( https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/backup-launchers/installation )

That makes perfect sense and is exactly what my setup is! That is the same guide I used when I set up my cIOS's. So I do indeed have beta 52 on slot 250 which would explain why when I change game specific settings to use 250 they work with no issues. Thank you(and greywolf) for your help and clarification and hopefully this information helps others! (The 6 lurkers that are guests viewing this thread right now who probably have the same issue lol )

I turned on "Block IOS Reload" and still experience the same issue. It does not seem to help at all for some reason.

What size is the file? MPT is a dual-layer disc so a single file of it will be >4GB and converting it to a WBFS file will have to be split into two.

@The Real Jdbye There's no need to use beta53 in either slot unless you have to use USB port 1. That version doesn't work very well when running EmuNAND.

Thank you! I can finally play Metroid Prime Trilogy and Kirby's Dream Collection!

I could always start Kirby, Metroid Prime Trilogy and Rampage, but not access all games within (classic Kirby and Rampage titles, some of the Metroid games in the trilogy).

Changing the IOS to 250 solved it. Blocking IOS was not necessary.

EDIT: The same is true for NERF: Double Strike (the first of the two titles did not work without this setting); basically all game collection (games within games) are affected.
