Hey everyone, I'm new here but have a question after reading many posts, forums and what not. I recently downloaded 3 different copies of Metroid Other M and all three have frozen after the tutorial. I tried using Wii scrubber to delete the Update partition but that only caused a disc error to pop up in place of the freeze point. I have also tried running the game with IOS 222, 223, 249, and 250 and it still freezes. I have Wii system 4.2u and Homebrew 1.08 running USB Loader GX. Has anyone come up with a way around this? I've heard Priiloader, but am still wondering. This is the only game I've had problems with so far.

I used Waninkoko's cIOSx r19 (cIOS 250 with IOS 38 base) and latest beta of CFG USB Loader.
Got PAL Wii with System Menu 4.2 & NTSC version of Metroid: Other M.
    No issues at all. [IMG]

Your problem is that you're running cIOS rev14. cIOS rev14 breaks DL support, so Metroid Other M, SSBB, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Sakura Wars don't work. Fix it by installing cIOS rev20 (use base IOS56)

If you want to check if your copy of Metroid is ok, using WiiScrubber extract the movie "dm03to04.sfd" (this is the baby's cry cutscene )and play it using VLC and if the movie freezes and doesnt play until the end then the copy you have is more than likely bad.
