Hmmm, when I load up my R4i on my DSL. It freezes at the loading screen.

that most likely means you've got the wrong kernel installed, or the SD-card is not working right. can you show me a picture of your card?
if the kernel is right on the DS not a DSi it should function right awai, the ds doesn't need patching to function, so any fw should work.

wow, it's been a while since i saw that card there needs to be r4.dat on your sd-card... this file is most likely your problem... the wrong version means it won't work...
there is a difference between v1.4, v1.41, v1.44 and so on. so be sure you download the right kernal for your card

Well I just found the firmware (which works) from here. I'm gonna try to patch my R4i gold now.
