New release!

https://github.com/RSDuck/melonDS/releases/tag/release6

Originally I planned to include the cheats menu with this release, but when starting working on it I noticed that I want to do some more changes to the gui code which would postpone this release, when there's already enough with the new renderers to release.

This release features a new 2D and a 3D renderer implemented using deko3D (so they're running on the GPU). Most 3D games are fullspeed now, even on stock clocks. See the main post for more information.

Amazing work!
I tested Mario Kart DS and it runs perfectly fine with jit enabled.
Add an option to increase the internal resolution and this will be the perfect emulator.

Using this update, the improvements are immediately apparent. Everything has been running exceptionally well on stock clocks, and the new renderer has--ironically--rendered my old bug report on this thread (regarding MMBN DS games) null and void.

I've played maybe close to a solid hour of Tales of Hearts without issue, but there were two three points where there's a distinct quarter-second pause. I'm assuming this might have something to do with JIT? (For the record, block size is still set to 16 for me, for compatibility)

This might also be anecdotal, but I've found in Sonic Rush, Sonic's outline in special stages is more of a transparent red than the gray it's supposed to be? Doesn't seem to be affected in any other instances.

Guess now the Switch is the first handheld to have a (near) perfect DS homebrew emulator. Grats on this highly-specific achievement. <3

The only problem I've had is with hotel dusk, the app crashes when approaching the reception desk every time. Other than that it's perfect

Make sure it's not also reproducible with the interpreter. Could be fault of the JIT - the maximum block size value probably won't work for you, so tweak it as necessary.

How do I enable 3D renderer? mine still look low resolution on 3D games

another thing I want to report:
- Save state take very long time, about 10 seconds
- Load state is freezing, already wait for 2 minutes (and still freezing)
- Playing games is okay, but booting bios just white screen

Yeah seems to be an issue with JIT, game manages to get past this issue without it. Tried adjusting block size but seems to have no effect.

Edit* Just made a save state after I got past it and then Re enabled JIT. Game works fine after for a bit then crashes the app at parts later on in the game again when transitioning over to walking sections.

3D renderer won't increase the resolution. It only improves performance.

smooth like butter in THPS proving ground! excellent update.

i did get a crash in Ultimate MK though, graphical glitches all over i think it worked fine in the last version.
