Homebrew Melon ds is officially better than desmume

Melon ds already runs better with proper hd support. So take desmume and put it in the trash I mean recycle bin and don't look back

Yeah I mean you can use Melon ds but I'm going to continue using Desmume
They have dem noice features like upscaling

melonds also does upscaling

also melonds got dsi emulation upscaling and a qt update and runs better than dsmume i use it alot because of my broken ds

Yeah I use it on RPI too and PSC. I like the speed and compatibility. Never tried dsiware on it though.

without no$gba's developer using it to crack the DS's cartridge security, we wouldn't have DS flashcarts, it gets mega-points for that; besides, i have yet to see a DS emulator with official download-play support and no$gba hits the spot on that one.

Desmume = Just for making codes, play some games.
No$gba = Just for making ASM codes, play some games.
MelonDS = play some games, trade or battle with WIFI, Wireless etc...

• AR codes for MelonDS was not introduced yet, maybe still under testing
• MelonDS is now added support DSI stuff! DSi Ware! DSi Execute! Just likes No$gba!

Other emulators = I don't know...

I think it depends on each one, MelonDS has a HORRIBLE performance on my PC while DeSmume I can run most games without a problem and with a good performance (and still with frame-skip) besides the possibility of playing online.


DeSmume and NO$GBA even runs on a potato while MelonDS requires a reasonably good PC and yet the performance may not be perfect.

That's good to know but I disliked DeSmuMe at all. NO$GBA and MelonDS are way better than DeSmuMe. Maybe it just you. I don't know what's the problem with yours but anyway... I had a long time NO$GBA user and still now for over 12 years. I know. And I like MelonDS very much.. It is getting better and better over DeSmuME. I won't used DeSmuMe emulator since I replace it for MelonDS after NO$GBA. It is much better!
