Probably a different class of drive, meaning it has a different maximum transfer speed.

Could you point me some benchmark tool to take a look at that?
This 8Gb was supposed to be Class 4.

My kingston seems to have this amazingly slow write speeds in 0.5 and 1KB
Maybe that's why some games are loading pretty slow, while others are really fast, independent
of when they were released and stuff. It's not infolib stuff (Also all .sav creating times are slow)

This kind of test is nothing...
The only one important test, is the homebrew from supercard!!!

The access time is most important than the speed data transfer!!!

8GB, i thins it's enough... More, i dont know why it will be usefull

Which homebrew, bitonio?

I guess either way there's no workaround this issue.
I think it's a hardware issue of the card...

What matters is READ SPEED, which is separate from the class.

I'm going to make a little guide on speed testing cards, as soon as concrete info is available.
Read speed isn't that important. Most cards have at least decent read speed.

QUOTE(Another World @ Nov 25 2010, 06:32 PM)
minimum latency where anti-piracy still works is 8254. class speed is write speed not read speed, being a class 2 or 10 doesn't really matter. except for the fact that some class-2 cards we have tested have a faster read speed than class 6 cards.

AP mode isn't something you want to leave on all the time, set it on a per-rom basis. if those roms require it and having it on causes freezing then your micro sd card is probably to slow to use AP. there is nothing that can be done to fix this, its more of a limitation of the acekard hardware as the AP patching has to be done in software.

by the way that latency number i quoted came from yellow wood goblin, that isn't something i made up. i'd suggest that perhaps you want to run a benchmark on your card to see how it stacks up. recently we tested a 16gb class2 sandisk and the latency was 37700, meaning that the AP patching option users can set will never work on it.

And we're waiting on info from YWG as to how he tested.

Try the homebrew from supercard "speed test" and you'll see...

I tested everything is possible to test in microSD world...

Size, speed, access, everything...

You can have a microSD with 17MB/S read speed and a very bad access time = bad microSD for flashcard use !!!
