Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man swung by Sony's E3 conference to deliver a 7 minutes long demo. Insomniac Games, in collaboration with the Marvel Universe, finally showed more of what Spidey will be up against in their upcoming game with some gameplay footage and an expanded roster of characters.

Things heat up for Spider-Man as many of the Super Villains he has put away over his eight years as Spidey have escaped simultaneously.

This is a pivotal moment in the game, where the fragile peace in New York City has now been completely shattered, as Super Villains have now escaped the maximum-security facility, the RAFT, just off the coast of Manhattan. Worse, as you saw at the end the gameplay video, Spider-Man is no match on his own in the one vs five situation. These are dire times in Marvel’s New York City.

Spider-Man releases on September 7 as a PS4-exclusive.

also, why does spiderman need multiple attacks to down normal people? Spiderman is really, really strong.

It's more like, I'm surprised E3 showings still do the scripted single and multiplayer demos, literally repeats of the previous ones, and more and more people are being aware of how literally fake they are. The Division 2 one with the fake coordinated Multiplayer dialog was the same thing as when they first showed the original. It'll be another victim of the Ubisoft downgrading at release, too. And the Last of Us Part 2 gameplay was again overly-cinematic like when they showed off the first one, and while the game was fun, it wasn't nowhere near that scale.

The QTE cutscenes are kinda annoying cause you can't actually play that.
