Shonen Jump would be better than overrated FF. I'm not a big fan of FF and I don't see any real appeal in the series.

Kingdom Hearts is a better series from Sqaure anyways.

Shonen Jump vs. Capcom would be awesome....a lot more choices then FF anyways.
nvm i read wrong

but i really enjoy FF series just not playing a fighting game with them

It seems I always type Sqaure instead of Square...I need to learn how to spell.

Well as long as it's a VS game it will be good. I still want to see a Namco vs. Capcom.

lol @ Ryu vs. PacMan

PacMan will get the special pacdot and turn Ryu blue, THEN he'll get gobbled up.

With an even bigger roster it will never be well balanced. But the reason MvsC2 is so popular is because it's so fun, not because it was well balanced.

I'd really like to see a DS version of the game. The DS has so few fighters and most of them are awful or not in English.

I have no idea why Capcom (and Namco, for that matter) have ignored the DS when it comes to fighting games. It just seems ignorant not to at least have a token SF (or Tekken) game on DS since it would definitely sell, at least you would assume so anyway.
Probably, if they did make Marvel Vs. Capcom for DS, it would be one of those idiotic card games or another boring RPG.

And I don't want to even hear anything about it can't be done. Both SF and Tekken were on GBA, and the DS is more powerful than that, not to mention the DS having enough buttons to actually play them, unlike the GBA. Except for a lack of a proper joystick to play it with, Ultimate Mortal Kombat was damn-near arcade perfect on the DS, too bad I was never a fan of the MK games though. But to me, UMK only proves that Capcom and Namco are just slacking and I find that pathetic.

Now, I'm not expecting SF4 or the very latest Tekken (whatever version they are up to), but at least SF Alpha or Tekken 3 should be doable. Or maybe all-original SE versions especially for the DS with a sort of compilation of characters from their respective franchises, something.....

Thank goodness for homebrew, eh? If it wasn't for homebrew (NeoDS, various other emulators), we'd have almost no fighting games worth mentioning on the DS at all. NeoDS alone fills the DS fighting game gap pretty well actually.....if you like NeoGeo's fighting games. But still, millions of legit DS owners know nothing about any of that.

The lack of fighting games is just one of many reasons I've been mostly disappointed with the DS. Just too many obvious no-brainer type games never being made for it.

Anyone expecting a Wii version:

We don't have Wii rights from Marvel but all the same I had toyed with that idea. Unfortunately, the economics don't work. We'd have to sell it at a significantly higher price at retail on Wii. Break even on the expected costs and lower margins are higher than the volume I'd reasonably expect to sell.

Don't quite get how its different for the Wii. I know THQ have rights for Wii titles but I thought it was only for Super Hero Squad. Also TvsC sold extremely well and that features characters that are far less known than Spider-Man, X-Men etc.

As for a possible sequel on the other formats, I'm not expecting a roster that big purely because they can make money from left over characters via DLC and also just make a "sequel" like Super Street Fighter 4.
