I'd really like to see a DS version of the game. The DS has so few fighters and most of them are awful or not in English.
I have no idea why Capcom (and Namco, for that matter) have ignored the DS when it comes to fighting games. It just seems ignorant not to at least have a token SF (or Tekken) game on DS since it would definitely sell, at least you would assume so anyway.
Probably, if they did make Marvel Vs. Capcom for DS, it would be one of those idiotic card games or another boring RPG.
And I don't want to even hear anything about it can't be done. Both SF and Tekken were on GBA, and the DS is more powerful than that, not to mention the DS having enough buttons to actually play them, unlike the GBA. Except for a lack of a proper joystick to play it with, Ultimate Mortal Kombat was damn-near arcade perfect on the DS, too bad I was never a fan of the MK games though. But to me, UMK only proves that Capcom and Namco are just slacking and I find that pathetic.
Now, I'm not expecting SF4 or the very latest Tekken (whatever version they are up to), but at least SF Alpha or Tekken 3 should be doable. Or maybe all-original SE versions especially for the DS with a sort of compilation of characters from their respective franchises, something.....
Thank goodness for homebrew, eh? If it wasn't for homebrew (NeoDS, various other emulators), we'd have almost no fighting games worth mentioning on the DS at all. NeoDS alone fills the DS fighting game gap pretty well actually.....if you like NeoGeo's fighting games. But still, millions of legit DS owners know nothing about any of that.
The lack of fighting games is just one of many reasons I've been mostly disappointed with the DS. Just too many obvious no-brainer type games never being made for it.
