ive noticed since ive been playing online i can usually race 2 or 3 races and ill get disconnected. anybody else having problems? im using original disc.

its most prob to do with wifi m8, maybe it lost signal for a slight second, ive heard many people having the same issues, maybe try a lan adapter?

when i test the connection under wii settings it say connection successful and gives me an error code 61010 and asks me to update something. any ideas?

after connection test it says connection test was successful. perform a wii system update now? wii support code: 61212

is that the update to get 3.4?

setup static ip, changed channels, disabled firewalls moved router close to wii still getting disconnected. have a linksys wrt54gs. any ideas?

Setting up a Static IP by yourself is a bit complicated. And if you want your ISP to do it for you, it'll probably cost money.

Also, the Connection Test is hardly reliable for online play. That just makes sure you're connected.

I have a feeling its just your network connection - the wii disconnects you if your idle for 30 seconds - try doing a ping to nintendo servers and see what times your getting back.

Ping nus.cdn.shop.wii.com -l 1500 -t

and see what times your getting back

in the response the time=107ms is your time to the server and back - see if it changes while playing mario kart on the wii

my times were around 47ms to 58ms. no change during play.had one request time out when i started. talked with nintendo for days now and nothing.

your speeds to the server are fine so the only other thing i can think of is speeds from your router to your Wii - can you check the IP on your wii and try pinging that and see if u get drops ?

I really do think (though I have nothing to back this up) its an issue with Nintendo's MarioKart game servers.

Over the past few days, we've had issues getting friend codes to exchange (or rather, to update) and the time to connect to WFC has been ridiculously slow most of the time.

i got a buddy that has never been disconnected. had his for about 3 weeks. hes got dsl and a belkin router. i played 5 1 on 1 matches on GHWT and never got kicked off.

must be your network / something interfering..... do you have a 2.4ghz phone receiver sitting next to your router? try changing the channel your wireless is on to something else (will be under wireless setup in your router config).

ive never had issues with my backup of mario kart, jsut yesterday i must have played 20+ games online..via wifi...

i unplugged my 2.4ghz awhile back just in case but i have a 5.8 ghz im using now. ive changed channels before but ill try again.

Does your router still have the factory firmware? I have the same router. It messed with my wii playing online games, and torrent downloading.

The firmware that comes stock in these routers really cripples them for console gaming, and things like torrent downloads. DD-WRT is something you should check out. I flashed mine with the micro version and I haven't had any trouble since.

Well that was my next option i was gonna try. i was just looking at dd-wrt wiki page. were you getting the disconnects during mario kart? im definately flashing today. which version of dd-wrt are you using?thanks

i flashed mine with the mini version of dd-wrt and still getting disconnected. borrowed my buddys router, the one that never gets kicked off, and i still get kicked off????? i dont know what else to do? any ideas?
