i didn't see any information about this but hope it'll be possible

I was discussing this in work today with a few other peeps, Would be an awesome idea but doubt nintendo would bother! They tend to be quite stubborn

nah they wont give us to many updates,. only when there are bugs/exploits discovered.
Certainly no new tracks. But with 32 tracks and 10 battletracks with 36 diffrent carts/bikes i wont get bored soon -.-

could have sworn this mario kart was gonna have missions like the DS one. I could have also sworn you would be able to download new missions.. obviously not.

..Where's the love that used to be in Nintendo?

I was gonna say that the love went away along with the gamecube, but the gamecube is still alive actually (overclocked, smaller and with remotes, but still, alive)

so, I don't know... maybe when they start making good games again, people who praised them before will praise them again for that

Another neat addition in the Mario Kart Channel comes in the form of Competitions, offering serious longevity potential. Currently, it appears Competitions are refreshed weekly and take the form of track-specific objective-based challenges. So far, we've seen two which should give you some indication of Nintendo's plans for the feature. One tasked racers with taking out ten Pokey's as quickly as possible around Mario Kart DS's Desert Hills track. The second challenge completely reworked DS Yoshi Falls, adding jump-inducing mushrooms to the normally barren central pit, the goal being to reach the finish line as quickly as possible. The fact that it's possible for Nintendo to add new obstacles and significantly alter tracks via a simple download suggests we might be seeing some really interesting stuff later down the line. Whatever form a Competition takes though, you're free to practice the challenge as many times as you like, only uploading your best result when you're entirely happy with your performance.

I don't think BRAND new content like Downloadable maps etc... will be possible. As stated with SSBB the reason it won't have added content is because Wii does not have a HD.
