I heard rumors floating around forums about a test version for this game. The dumped rom was the one from the preview video of some guy playing it that had like one stage with character fighting a yeti in ellinia. does anyone have info about this or is it all false info?

I think Maple Story DS already came out in Korea, but was never dumped.

Yah the people in the gamespot forums talking and boasting about having the "Actual" game are fake. My uncle's friend is working on the game and my uncle told me they're not even near finnishing the game and might quit it like that star craft ghost game. So people on gamespot I remember some steven guy, he's a liar he dosnt have the "Actual" game. Besides just play the pc version because like the gta coming out for the ds is like far off than the orginal ones and probably the maple ds will be far off. Oh forgot to mention the maplestory ds isn't actually a mmopg.

This will be hopefully the last post I have to make regarding this subject.

There were two versions of DS that were proposed for release.
The first was an official release by Wizet/Nexon Korea that was meant to be released last December, but was abandoned entirely. This version was shown in a commercial, and it's unknown as to why it was dropped, but make no mistake, it isn't out, and it won't be.

The second was a homebrew release, by an unknown source (maybe not even a homebrew, as it seemed to be done in a MapleStory pServer/emulator and simply projected onto a DS screen for a shitty little 5 minute or so clip that was made poorly as to you were killing Yetis at lvl 1, with a lvl 100 weapon, and level 10 armor, mixing skills.

Because of the joined projects (similar to RO) it has confused many as to the motives of the official release. For example Ragnarok Online is now making a DS client, and many people think it's graphicless although it's not because of the dsRO that exists now for eA servers.

People like this who claim they know someone who is working on it (AKA Grapevine) are people that are responsible for the reasoning behind this. They figure that no one can know, internet is anonymous, and it will affirm their reasoning, so they do it. Stupid shit, that leads to more problems.
