Is there a way to burn wii games and have them work with riivolution?

if not, how do I unpack and repack wii isos to have mods.

Unfortunately no.

Riivolution is an on-the-fly game patcher for use with retail discs. It allows users to place content on their SD or USB devices, which will be read by the game during regular play.

Riivolution can be used for custom textures, music, levels, memory patches, game translations, and more!

You'll probably need to install darkcorp - installing CIOS over the individual original IOSes is the only transparent solution (apart of course from a chip or ODE) for backup disc loading

Assuming of course your drive can read non-original discs, but since you asked...

There is a means to do so. Which is unpacking a wii disc, and then creating a custom iso with the patched files. Though I don't remember all the steps to it, and I don't think you're granted 100% compatibility, not sure, have to check
