I assume you need YSmenu, and use those custom savlib/infolib, there also seems to be an IPS patch included which you should be able to patch with an IPS patcher, But I am not entirely sure, so I wil wait till someone finds out.

Clarification, I am 99% sure it only works with TTDS and R4 using YSMENU only not official firmware.

I can confirm this works with YSMenu, but make sure you let YSMenu create a clean save. If it tried to use a save created from R4 you'll still get the black screen.
