When looking up romhacking information I often come across posts about wanting to save the score in an arcade game and stuff like that.
I recently had the chance to write something similar to that, where my aim was to save the "ring count" in Sonic Advance 3 in order to collect rings similarly to how it works in Sonic Advance 1 and 2.
While there is no usage or display for this info in the game, I use an external app on the GameCube and Wii to read the total amount of rings and send them to Sonic DX or SA2B savefiles, but the actual point of the video is to make it as entertaining as possible while showing the process that went into making it work and why I was motivated to do it.

You can take a look at the final assembly code here.

Really cool, thank for sharing, and even taking the time to make a video!
(minor point -- "chao" like cheese, not sheese)
I watched the full thing, it should be very helpful to some people!
