Gaming Mac-Windows question

I have to burn a OS install ISO for a friend who is upgrading his mac OS for the upcoming Diablo 3 release.
Will my External hard drive and dvd burner work on a Mac?

What is a good iso burning utility for Macs?

My Mac xp points are pretty low/non existent so this is kind of a new area for me I assume it will
be similar to other OS installs? and Drivers come prepackaged for his model? A relatively new mac laptop.

as long as it is not HFS the drive will work on the mac. but i'm gonna guess it is since you seem to have mac os iso on it?

on mac you can burn an iso with the native tools. mount the iso by double clicking it, right click over the mounted iso and choose Burn from the pop up menu.

if the iso doesn't mount, you can open disc utility and burn it from there.

if that doesn't work, toast works great.

there is no extra installation of drivers on macs. everything you need is in the install. all you do is click "ok" or "accept" or whatever it says.
